~/cvsPortage/gentoo-x86/dev-python/prettytable $ sudo PYTHON_TARGETS=python2_7 emerge prettytable && ~/cvsPortage/gentoo-x86/dev-python/prettytable $ sudo PYTHON_TARGETS=python2_7 ebuild prettytable-0.7.1-r1.ebuild clean merge both worked fine. There are no IUSE flags to cloud the install. It smacks of a portage issue based on another recent odd failure but this is at best speculation (In reply to Ian Delaney from comment #1) > ~/cvsPortage/gentoo-x86/dev-python/prettytable $ sudo > PYTHON_TARGETS=python2_7 emerge prettytable > > && > > ~/cvsPortage/gentoo-x86/dev-python/prettytable $ sudo > PYTHON_TARGETS=python2_7 ebuild prettytable-0.7.1-r1.ebuild clean merge > > both worked fine. There are no IUSE flags to cloud the install. It smacks > of a portage issue based on another recent odd failure but this is at best > speculation Hi, thanks, indeed, I don't have these problems on a different but very similar machine (running nearly the same GenToo packages) What can I do to "clean Portage" ? Many thanks for a hint, Helmut #might have a typo, but should work fine emerge --depclean -a emerge -uDNav --with-bdeps=y --selective=y @world python-updater all perl-cleaner all #shouldn't be needed, but meh emerge @preserved-rebuild revdep-rebuild dispatch-conf eselect news read new It turned out to be a severe portage bug, see bug https://bugs.gentoo.org/show_bug.cgi?id=499020 |
