With Gtk2 DISABLE_DEPRECATED flag switched on, all application sources downloaded from elsewhere (not through portage) will invariably break. Either we should have a USE flag that prevents the flag from being switched on, or it should be possible to emerge Gtk2 without it, in another way.DISABLE_DEPRECATED is truly a bad idea.

Reproducible: Always

What the heck are you talking about!? This makes no sense at all.

the G*_DISABLE_DEPRECATED flag is set by the applications themselves, has nothing todo with gtk+-2.

Try again and now very slowly.

Erik, this is not a bug, and you seem to be a little confused about the purpose and usage of the DEPRECATED macros. Please try to explain your point better if we're not understanding you.
