Layman installing python package from PyPi. This proves fakeness.
That's contains /usr/bin/scons, /usr/bin/layman, /usr/bin/equery

Description Alibek 2014-01-08 09:55:47 UTC
Trying to emerge net-libs/serf-1.3.3, but it fails on escons. Launching SCons shows that is not SCons, but easy_install. 6_9

Same happens with layman, equery and other Python packages installed with easy_install.

emerge --info: http://pastebin.com/cKdLpZp3
eselect python list: http://pastebin.com/nVTLiv6R
For example, installing "xmpppy" with fake layman: http://pastebin.com/WpdJyFWq

Reproducible: Always

You don't understood me. It's NOT problem with net-libs/serf, it's problem with programs written in Python. All of these just a copy of easy_install and not works, of course.
