libotr 4.0.0 contains a bug that leads to a crash in kopete when sending a otr encrypted message. 

shortly after the 4.0.0 release there was a fix submitted here:

there is also a kde bug: https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=328999

we should apply this patch to libotr

Kopete containing the workaround is in the tree, so nothing left to do for KDE team.

At the moment, you can't build kopete-4.12.5 (in stable) with otr because it depends on the masked version of libotr.

Does it work with libotr-4.1.0 and kopete-4.14.3?

Looks fine to me. I am using them on a regular basis. While I encouter rare crashes with OTR (last time was several ago), I doubt that they are related to this particular fix.

All versions <kopete-4.14.3 have been removed.

Please report back if the bug still exists with recent versions.
