Hi,

This is my first time on bugzilla so I sincerely apologize for any and all mistakes I made in categorization or information that I did/didn't include.

I was trying to install the Gentoo Prefix on my 2013 Mac Mini and Macbook Air (both running up to date Mavericks along with the latest Xcode w/ command line tools) using the directions and script at http://www.gentoo.org/proj/en/gentoo-alt/prefix/bootstrap.xml (last updated 10/1/12) but the script failed (I think in Stage 1) with 

      sys-devel/gcc-apple-4.2.1_p5666-r1::gentoo_prefix failed (compile phase):
      emake failed
      Call stack:
      ebuild.sh, line  93:  Called src_compile
      environment, line 4739:  Called die
      The specific snippet of code:
      emake bootstrap || die "emake failed"

I really like gentoo and I love unix in general but I honestly don't have this kind of technical know-how so I would really appreciate any help I could get.
