Hello,

sys-apps/qtparted-0.4.0.ebuild does not build, breaking at the second ./configure, when checking for Qt lib.
The ebuild stops here: [writing it by hand, since it's happening via a VNC controlled machine and I don't seem to be able to share the clipboard]

checking for libjpeg... -ljpeg
checking for Qt... configure: error: Qt (>= Qt 3.1.0 and < Qt 3.2.0) (library qt-mt) not found. Please check your installation!
For more details about this problem, look at the end of config.log.
Make sure that you have compiled Qt with thread support!
make: *** [config.status] Error 1

The machine has the (currently stable) Qt for x86: Qt 3.3.0-r1. The error message makes me think that qtparted-0.4.0 requires a strict Qt < 3.2.0 which could explain the breakage.

qtparted-0.4.1 breaks for the same reason.
qtparted-0.4.3 builds cleanly (as the author himself fixed this issue in the 0.4.2, not available in portage).

In my humble ignorance, either we set Qt-3.3.0 as ~x86 (no, no, no!), or we unmask the qtparted-0.4.3. :-)

I am already doing that, but it doesn't fix the error in portage: the x86 stable package (0.4.0) does not build with the x86 stable Qt package (> 3.2.0). :-)

any hope to get a coherent and consistent portage tree? :-) What's wrong in marking as x86 qtparted-0.4.3?

0.4.4 is stable !
