i know about the release of e18, but for a simple migration from splitted 1.7 libs to merged efl-1.8 i will likely wait for at least efl-1.8.4.

I will add the latest e18 release to the enlightenment overlay later, so you can test/use it from there in the meantime.

x11-wm/enlightenment-0.18.2 [1], dev-libs/efl-1.8.4 and media-libs/elementary-1.8.3 [2] were released in the meantime.

While you are at it you might want to check this:

xcb seems to be going the way of the dodo, so maybe you should mask that flag once e18 enters the tree, in efl and where applicable in the whole E stack.

e18 has been in the main tree for some time now
