Forgot to say, that versions 3.7.0_rc6 and 3.7.0_rc7 (which are currently masked for x86) compile just fine (with boost-m4). We also have the version bump to 3.7.0.0 here. Let me see if I can fix that together. 26 Dec 2013; Justin Lecher <jlec@gentoo.org> povray-3.7.0_rc3.ebuild: + Backport fix for boost 1.5*, #494322 + stable media-gfx/povray-3.7.0_rc3 fails on amd64: ... checking if more special flags are required for pthreads... no ./configure: line 18328: syntax error near unexpected token `$required_libboost_version' ./configure: line 18328: `BOOST_REQUIRE($required_libboost_version)' !!! Please attach the following file when seeking support: !!! /var/tmp/portage/media-gfx/povray-3.7.0_rc3/work/povray-3.7.0.RC3/config.log Basically BOOST_REQUIRE is a part of sys-devel/boost-m4, so we need to depend on it and hence stable. (In reply to Christoph Junghans from comment #5) > Basically BOOST_REQUIRE is a part of sys-devel/boost-m4, so we need to > depend on it and hence stable. Could you please file a bug for that? The other option would be to just stabilize a newer version of povray. (In reply to Christoph Junghans from comment #7) > The other option would be to just stabilize a newer version of povray. personally I would like ot see 3.7.0.0 go stable instead of the release candidates. I have this problem too, also using x86_64. Working now! + 11 May 2015; Justin Lecher <jlec@gentoo.org> -files/3.7.0_rc3-user-conf.patch, + -files/povray-3.7.0_rc5+boost-1.50.patch, + -files/povray-3.7.0_rc5-automagic.patch, + -files/povray-3.7.0_rc7-boost-1.50.patch, + -files/povray-3.7.0_rc7-user-conf.patch, -povray-3.7.0_rc3.ebuild, + -povray-3.7.0_rc6.ebuild, -povray-3.7.0_rc7.ebuild: + Drop old, obsoletes bug #494322 + |
Created attachment 365394 [details] emerge --info '=media-gfx/povray-3.7.0_rc3::gentoo' Two months ago everthing went fine and povray compiled without any problems. Yesterday I decided to do a complete system recompile. Unfortunately povray failed this time. I've attached the complete compile log and emerge --info
