it's a portage bug... the only thing that helps right now is unmerge and re-emerge vmware-player *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of bug 215242 *** |
After every system update, the output suggests to run "emerge @preserved-rebuild". This command keeps rebuilding the wmware-player but to no effect -- the message appears again next time: ------------ . . . * GNU info directory index is up-to-date. !!! existing preserved libs: >>> package: gnome-base/gnome-keyring-3.8.2 * - /usr/lib/libgcr.so.0 * - /usr/lib/libgcr.so.0.0.0 * used by /opt/vmware/lib/vmware/lib/libvmplayer.so/libvmplayer.so (app-emulation/vmware-player-6.0.0.1295980) * used by /opt/vmware/lib/vmware/lib/libvmware-enter-serial.so/libvmware-enter-serial.so (app-emulation/vmware-player-6.0.0.1295980) * used by /opt/vmware/lib/vmware/lib/libvmware-fuseUI.so/libvmware-fuseUI.so (app-emulation/vmware-player-6.0.0.1295980) * used by 4 other files * - /usr/lib/libgp11.so.0 * - /usr/lib/libgp11.so.0.0.0 Use emerge @preserved-rebuild to rebuild packages using these libraries
