Which version of gobject-introspection is installed ? Calculating dependencies... done!
[ebuild R ] dev-libs/gobject-introspection-1.36.0-r1 USE="cairo -doctool {-test}" PYTHON_SINGLE_TARGET="python2_7" PYTHON_TARGETS="python2_7" 0 kB
I cannot reproduce this... do you have a fully updated systemd? Maybe there is some misync between glib, gobject-introspection and gobject-introspection-common << I cannot reproduce this... It is strange but I have reproduced only once. After I made emerge again it was going without that error! << do you have a fully updated systemd? Maybe there is some misync between glib, gobject-introspection and gobject-introspection-common I haven't systemd installed! udev is installed. About glib, gobject-introspection and gobject-introspection-common... I have such versions: dev-libs/gobject-introspection-common-1.36.0 dev-libs/gobject-introspection-1.36.0-r1 dev-libs/glib-2.36.4-r1:2 << Maybe there is some misync I will be happy to know but I'm relatively new in gentoo... And it is hard for me even guessing... Please ask if you need more info and I'll provide it. This is only help which I can provide. I just remembered... May be it is important... Seems I got this error while emerging a lot of updates and between them was systemd. It was required because new gnome was in the USE (make.conf). As someone told in IRC gnome for now requires systemd. May be I got this error because some systemd-dependencies were installing but due to mentioned misync it was not able to finish? JFYI: I have tried to emerge with gnome USE-flag several times. And, if I not wrong with sequence, I removed gnome from USE and emerge has finished its job without errors. << Seems I got this error while emerging a lot of updates and between them was systemd. But that was impossible for systemd to be installed as there was Block with udev. I'm sorry for such terrible repro steps. This is first or second my report due to gentoo. I will do my best to make a better reports in the future. Thanks! Bah, it was a typo -> systemd -> system => I mean, sometimes some problems appear (usually when running emerge with a big --jobs= value (well, 4, for example :S)) and it tries to compile a package "too soon". Then, I asked if you were able to reproduce once most of the packages in your system are updated For example: maybe glib was updated to 2.36 but, at some time, g-o-i was still outdated and it failed. But I am unsure about how to prevent this kind of errors :/ (maybe adding a blocker to older ebuilds against glib-2.36?... but it looks like a thing easy to forget in the future) -> Will CC portage team as maybe they have a better suggestion (In reply to Pacho Ramos from comment #9) > Bah, it was a typo -> systemd -> system => I mean, sometimes some problems > appear (usually when running emerge with a big --jobs= value (well, 4, for > example :S)) and it tries to compile a package "too soon". Then, I asked if > you were able to reproduce once most of the packages in your system are > updated This should not happen. If that happens it either is a bug in portage or a missing dependency/blocker in the ebuild. > > For example: maybe glib was updated to 2.36 but, at some time, g-o-i was > still outdated and it failed. But I am unsure about how to prevent this kind > of errors :/ (maybe adding a blocker to older ebuilds against glib-2.36?... > but it looks like a thing easy to forget in the future) -> Will CC portage > team as maybe they have a better suggestion As g-o-i depends on glib and gmime depends on g-o-i it's very unlikely that they weren't merged in the correct order. Would be interesting to see the computed merge list. Lets see what the actual merge order was. @reporter: Please attach /var/log/emerge.log Also I have the error on compiling: g-ir-scanner: error: no such option: --cflags-begin Update dev-libs/gobject-introspection from 1.32.1 to 1.36.0-r1 and dev-libs/gmime-2.6.19 compile correctly Please provide the emerge.log to try to resolve the issue For sorry mine /var/log/emerge.log has been overwritten by the next emerge. After it I was unable to find any info there which relates to the issue... Then, next time please remember to save emerge.log :) |
