Description Benjamin Block 2013-12-02 22:08:07 UTC
Stumbled over this nifty tool some time ago and as there is no ebuild for it I wrote a simple one. Maybe you are interested. The authors Homepage states about it:

rdup is a simple tool which creates lists of files that are to be backed up. All files types under Unix are supported: regular files, symlinks, hardlinks, devices, sockets, etc.

This can then easily be used in scripts or crontabs to actually do the backups. It is also possible to shove each file through a processor (tar, gpg, ...) and backup these archived/crypted/.. files instead of the plain ones.

Reproducible: Always

rdup-1.1.14-disable_default_strip.patch

The default Makefile strips each binary by default.

rdup-1.1.14-disable_deprecated_error.patch

The sources uses a deprecated function and is compiled with -Werror, which results in a compilation-break. I just added a -Wno-error=deprecated-declarations for the moment.
