I second this. I have been using HipChat, the Linux app is quite good, and super easy to install. Just untar their dist file, most of which goes into /opt. The tmacedo overlay has an ebuild. But it needs to be updated to the new version that Hipchat released a few weeks ago. A current gentoo ebuild would be much better. Created attachment 375126 [details]
hipchat ebuild
Here is an ebuild for hipchat that I use at home.
The tmacedo overlay currently contains the latest version and works as expected. There is a new version available: HipChat 4. Just renaming the ebuild from tmacedo overlay does not work as the URL has changed. Also, it is only available for amd64 anymore. I added an updated ebuild to my overlay: https://github.com/MathyV/gentoo-overlay-mathy Created attachment 428918 [details]
HipChat 4 ebuild
There is a new version 4.0.1633, the ebuild still works, is also in my overlay. New version 4.0.1635, ebuild still works. There's a new version, but the version numbering changed. Renaming my ebuild to hipchat-4.27.0.1658.ebuild should work. It is also in my overlay. I'm closing this as hipchat no longer exists |
