Description Nathan Toone 2004-04-27 11:32:05 UTC
There are now some KDE look and feel open office packages (using kde widgets and icons). The download for these packages is linked from http://dot.kde.org/1082652256/. It would be really cool to have a use flag "kde" (which I think already exists) so that you could build this version (or use the binary version) of openoffice.

Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1. USE="kde" emerge openoffice-bin
2.
3.

Actual Results:
Installs regular openoffice.

Expected Results:
Should install kde-ified version of open office

I am not an ebuild expert, but I have verified that by downloading the OOo kde file, you can use the same ebuild (patches and everything) when doing emerge openoffice-bin. I accomplished this by downloading the tar file, untarring it, renaming its directory to match the current ooo-bin.tar.gz file, retarring it, and modifying the md5sums in the digest for the ebuild. I know that this will not be permanant across syncs, and that it's not the standard way of doing it - but it *did* work.

So I would imagine that it should be trivial to add the option and just change where it gets downloaded from.
