Currently, the docs say nothing about pinning. After some looking on bugzilla, I found that info about pinning in world had been removed, and replaced by a newer method. That newer method involves using /etc/portage.

The portage docs should include the info about the newer method of pinning.

pinning doesnt really work anymore which is why i removed it from all the docs

the portage docs are `man portage`
