The syntax in the bundled file seems deprecated. A diff to fix this is attached.
Error message:
# /etc/init.d/ovsdb-server start
 * Starting ovsdb-server ...
ovsdb-server: "db:Open_vSwitch,manager_options": invalid syntax
 * start-stop-daemon: failed to start `/usr/sbin/ovsdb-server'
 * Failed to start ovsdb-server [ !! ]

It seems line 5 of the patch did not make it into the new ebuild, so the result is still broken.
