This is reproducable. I tried it douzens of times with different settings (USE combinations ...) but the only thing which fixes it, is to disable the sandbox. Any suggestion what to test more or how to debug this? you need USE="tk gtk" with any other combination for this bug. USE="tk -gtk gtk3" is fine. This is just to confirm the issue and the workaround: I can reproduce every time that emerging dev-python/matplotlib-1.4.2 hangs when MAKEOPTD="-j4" is set: mac ~ # genlop -t matplotlib | tail * dev-python/matplotlib Tue Feb 24 20:34:21 2015 >>> dev-python/matplotlib-1.3.0-r1 merge time: 34 minutes and 14 seconds. And I can confirm that emerging the same ebuild with MAKEOPTS="-j1" works as expected. Created attachment 398498 [details]

Sorry, I screwed this up. My posts belong to bug 522840. I am sorry for the noise. For me it is fixed in 1.4.2. Please reopen if this problem still exists with version 1.4 |
