Xeasyconf patch to allow for use of Xfree86 or Xorg
*** Bug 53923 has been marked as a duplicate of this bug. *** I applied this patch, and Xeasyconf runs now, however it still creates an /etc/XF86Config-4 file that only contains a DRI and a Modes section, none of the other required config into. How am I supposed to be running this to create the complete xorg.conf? I think it's best to deprecate Xeasyconf in favor of Xautoconfig. Xeasyconf hasn't got a maintainer. Ideas? Probably a good idea, that patch is old and broken for recent xorg (most xorg in fact) Xautoconfig is being maintained by owen from YDL an is working for Xorg last I tried it. Yep. It does need a patch though to get it to use paths to fonts instead of a font server, but that's another bug. I'm going to close this. Thnxs for the feedback. |
