I should probably add that this is arch independant. I hit it first on mips but reproduced it on amd64. I believe this is fixed with upstream uclibc commits:
620908d8e5b2f9d0c32954e9fc5752d03cf37fc8
6a76edddaa62ff06f178143b582167734cb55c18
which we might want to backport to uclibc-0.9.33.2-r7 when/if it gets pushed out.
