Sorry Mike Frysinger wrong name. suggested TEST plan: emerge pdnsd Change /etc/pdnsd/pdnsd.conf ip= directives to point to you dns server. If you are already running a dns server change the server_port directive. Change /etc/conf.d/pdnsd-online to refer to an active network interface (started from a /etc/init.d/net.${IFACE}) # /etc/init.d/pdnsd-online should start both pdnsd and pdnsd-online Using dig (from net-dns/bind-tools) #dig @localhost -p {port} www.gentoo.org Expected result: bash-2.05b# dig @localhost -p 53 www.gentoo.org ; <<>> DiG 9.2.3 <<>> @localhost -p 53 www.gentoo.org ;; global options: printcmd ;; Got answer: ;; ->>HEADER<<- opcode: QUERY, status: NOERROR, id: 44955 ;; flags: qr rd ra; QUERY: 1, ANSWER: 3, AUTHORITY: 0, ADDITIONAL: 0 ;; QUESTION SECTION: ;www.gentoo.org. Thanks for the bug Daniel :) Added Added ãlpha to keywords. ~amd64 Will add version 1.1.11 soon (if anyone cares). I realy just wanted to change the resolve status to TEST-REQUEST. ppc peoples I marked this ppc stable a while ago without testing (bad me). If you want to test you can. Just FYI. Late respond, but works on ppc. |
