Bug 489754 – net-analyzer/munin-2.0.11.1 - TLS connection errors

After recently upgrading my munin machines to 2.0.11 from 2.0.4 I noticed that munin no longer updates stats when connecting over TLS and instead gives errors like:

In order to reproduce simply create a pem cert in /etc/munin/server.pem, add the following in munin.conf and munin-node.conf:

tls enabled
tls_verify_certificate no
tls_private_key /etc/munin/server.pem
tls_certificate /etc/munin/server.pem

and run munin-cron --debug.

The bug seems to be the one reported here[1] and fixed[2] for version 2.0.12 so a version bump would solve this issue. I manually applied the fix and it is indeed working as expected.

Oldest version in tree is now 2.0.19, which should include the fix, as you stated.
