The problem is that the patches applied is not current/synced...? The patches from device mapper 1.00.17 (at least) patches slab.h which is needed. It would be easier to debug if the patch-package would contain a descrition of the patcehs. I tried to reverse the 01_device_mapper patch and apply the patch (linux-2.4.26-rc1-devmapper-ioctl.patch) from the official distribution but some of the files are already patched/created by the 00_gs_sources patch and where rejected... Just so that no one is waiting for me to dive durther into this. The only one who can fix this is the person responsible for the 00_gs_sources patch. i'm having the same problem here. gs-sources-2.4.25_pre7-r6 was just released and this issue still remains. Strange that it appears to be a newer dm patch since it supports dm-raid1. Is there ANY work being done on this, or if we require lvm2, should we forget about gs-sources? Why are there new unmasked releases when gs-sources is and has been broken? Same problem with freshly emerged 2.4.25_pre7-r8. Shouldn't it be marked unstable? *** Bug 61607 has been marked as a duplicate of this bug. *** gs-sources is no longer in portage as its outdated and unmaintained. Please use gentoo-sources for 2.4 or gentoo-dev-sources for 2.6. |
