I have the same problem. Trying to make a "ebuild /usr/portage/app-office/openoffice/openoffice-1.1.1-r1.ebuild install" after failing emerge, I get the following error: ... * Installing OpenOffice.org into build root... glibc version: 2.3.2 Initializing installation program...............libi18npool645li.so : Bad CRC e2d6621b (should be ebc44eff).libcomphelp3gcc3.so : Bad CRC 7119025a (should be f370acbe)..libvcl645li.so : Bad CRC 3994e2fc (should be 8e040897). !!! Gábor could you attach /var/tmp/portage/openoffice-1.1.1/work/openoffice-1.1.1/dmake/config.log For some reason your system does not seem to accept a NULL argument to utime, which is needed for the dmake program which is used to make openoffice I will test my harddisk and memory. I found a config.log file under the following path:

I found an other file in a path more similar to the one in your question:
/var/tmp/portage/openoffice-1.1.1/work/oo_1.1.1_src/dmake/config.log
I might have used USE="-gtk" in my make.conf when emerging some core elements of my system. I don't remeber exactly. It seems that something goes wrong. While examining your log file again. I saw that you have the following problem "File `Makefile' has modification time 2.1e+02 s in the future". This is normally caused running accross a network filesystem while not having synchronized clocks. Compilation over a network is not to be advised anyway (it is slow), so try to compile at a local disk, or use ntp to synchronized the clocks. Then try again. True, most of my system is stored in NFS directories. Strange, however that compilation always (3 times) stopped at the same place. I will try to synchonize the clocks. Thank you very much! It is clear that your installation set is not build correctly. Without a full log I cannot do much. I've got exactly the same problem with OO complaining about missing GTK, but NO error which looks like it should block the build. Which logfile do you need to check out the problem? Is this still a issue for someone? Also the gtk "error" is normal and not harmfull so just forget about it ;) No feedback for 5 months, so closing |
