Same problem here. What are some of the affected applications, and what are their versions? What version of x11-themes/gnome-icon-theme-symbolic, x11-libs/gtk+ and x11-libs/gdk-pixbuf do you have? A screenshot of an affected application also be helpful. For the image, you can see this (from the archers) http://i.imgur.com/upYjRHj.png The problem is general, from gdm, but also lighdm, to nautilus, gnome-shell (es. volume or networkmanager applet) etc. Inside nautilus, I can see correctly the svg images preview or open them with eog without problems. I'm on the 3.6* branch (until will be in portage) x11-libs/gtk+: 3.6.3-r2 2.24.20 x11-libs/gdk-pixbuf: 2.28.2 gnome-icon-theme-symbolic: 3.6.2 Sorry, I forgot some info gnome-base/gdm: 3.6.2-r1 gnome-shell: 3.6.3.1 nautilus: 3.6.3 At first, I would try with 3.8.x versions and, also, if you are using testing for gnome, use librsvg-2.39 for it (the testing version too) Can you see the symbolic icons from /usr/share/icons/gnome/scalable/actions/ in nautilus and eog? Found the problem I think: https://git.gnome.org/browse/gtk+/commit/?id=ad5889690abe26794f1a4f90bd94d8e7cabccd8b I've backported the patch from gtk+-3.8.3 to 3.6.x which should fix the issue. +*gtk+-3.6.3-r3 (07 Oct 2013) + + 07 Oct 2013; Alexandre Rostovtsev <tetromino@gentoo.org> + +gtk+-3.6.3-r3.ebuild, +files/gtk+-3.6.3-librsvg-2.39.patch: + Fix symbolic icon loading with librsvg-2.36.4-r1 and 2.39.0 (bug #487110, + thanks to pingoo). It is ok now, thank you! |
