The current stable release of Zabbix is 2.0.4 and was added to the tree in February of this year. 

While it has mostly been a problem free release, there were numerous and significant bugs fixed in Zabbix 2.0.6 and now also in Zabbix 2.0.8.

The PHP team has notified me that they have stabilized PHP 5.5 which is only compatible with Zabbix 2.0.8.  I have ruled out back porting patches to 2.0.4/2.0.6.

I added Zabbix 2.0.8 to the tree on September 5, and have yet to see any new bug reports specific to it.  I'd normally wait longer before requesting stabilization, but the PHP 5.5 issue is probably a big deal and would be annoying for our stable users.

Therefore, I'm requesting that we stabilize in an accelerated manner the ebuild for Zabbix 2.0.8 on the amd64 and x86 platforms.
