Description Reuben Martin 2013-09-13 20:53:00 UTC
With systemd, the samba services are stating up, but are not usable unstill they get restarted. I am assuming that they are trying to bind to the network interface before it is configured. I changed the dependency for smb, nmb and winbind services from "network.target" to "network-online.target", and it seems to fix the problem with some quick testing. However since I've just recently started trying out systemd, I'm not sure this is correct.

My network interfaces are being managed by the NetworkManager service.

As a side, note: If this is the correct solution, I can think of a few other services that probably might be well advised to use the network-online target as well.

Reproducible: Always

Please provide exact logs to explain upstream the problem (they are supplying some services (that fit better on Fedora) and they are neither using network-online.target
