After installing dev-ruby/yard, 'gem list' results in the following error:

Do you still see this error? If so, what version of rubygems do you have installed?

Yes.

dev-ruby/rubygems-2.0.3

Aha, this is a problem with the combination of yard 0.8.3 and rubygems 2.x. I've filed a bug to stable a newer version of yard. Thanks for the report!

It seems wrong to close this bug when the "stable newer version of yard" is not yet available. This bug should be re-opened and marked dependent on that bug. This issue is not yet resolved and continues to rear its ugly head, blocking net-libs/webkit-gtk-2.0.4 from successful build as well as other packages (e.g., Pentoo net-wireless/lorcon-0.0_p20130212), in my recent (tonight) experience.

Normally stable bugs are acted on fairly quickly and this practice isn't an issue. But I'm happy to leave this bug open until are fixed at least for the main arches.

The remaining issues noted in the previous comments have all been sorted out. This bug is "safe" to close out.

Thanks.
