Is /dev/fd a symlink to /proc/self/fd on your system? No, I do not have /dev/fd on my system. /proc/self/fd exists. Should I link it and try again? (As I think about it, it happened to me to run out of space, while emerging world long ago, maybe there came some files/links are missing from that point, but I did not had problems so far, so I do not knoe for sure) Well, /dev/fd is supposed to get created by something during early boot. Do you have some unconventional setup relating to udev or something like that? I made the symlink and it works now. Thank you and sorry for bothering you. I am trying to install a lot of things on Rapsberry PI and on relativelly small SD card (= main "HDD"). So it is possible, that some earlier conflict had as result, that the symlink was not created. |
