Does it compile with "doc" disabled? I'm not the original reporter but I was seeing the same thing and the emerge did complete successfully with USE=-doc. Created attachment 357800 [details, diff]

Looks like someone didn't test building docs before cutting this version.
This patch should at least make the docs build, but they're probably missing bits.
Patch might be causing Bug 512630. Looking into it. Created attachment 378662 [details, diff]
