Nobody in gnome team is looking at it, then, we have an obsolete version in the tree that is still hard requiring consolekit. Looks like Fabio did job regarding packagekit support in Gentoo/Sabayon, will CC him to know if he is interested

Well I did make sure the gnome frontend was not too out of date and will continue to do so even if I'm late for 3.8, but I certainly didn't touch the core component and would appreciate help on that.

I think it should be easy to bump gnome-packagekit from 3.6.
