Language files are installed in wrong place.

configure.ac does 

localedir='$(prefix)/$(DATADIRNAME)/locale'
AC_SUBST(localedir)


I thought it might be a good idea to report this, though there is already a bug report for a more recent version. 
This one is part of the stable tree and should be fixed or the fixed version should be tested and marked stable.

Thanks dude. 
I opened this bug to ask the gnome-team to think about using the patch applied upstream for version 2.32.3-r1 which is in stable tree or to mark the recent version stable after enough testing being done.

This is solved in 3.8.x
