Description Malte S. Stretz 2004-04-16 02:58:05 UTC
When the sources are patched, the error below occurs. I guess (hope) this is just a dangling obsolete patch...

Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
emerge alsa-lib
Actual Results:
>>> md5 src_uri ;-) alsa-lib-1.0.3b.tar.bz2
>>> Unpacking source...
>>> Unpacking alsa-lib-1.0.3b.tar.bz2
to /var/tmp/portage/alsa-lib-1.0.3b-r2/work
 * Patching ${S}/ltmain.sh...
 *   Applying portage-1.4.1.patch...
 *   Could not apply relink.patch!
 *   Applying sed-1.4.3.patch...
 *   Applying test-1.4.1.patch...
 *   Applying tmp-1.3.5.patch...
 * Applying alsa-lib-1.0.3b-rate-capture.patch...                      [ ok ]
>>> Source unpacked.

Expected Results:
The same as above, just without the error/warning.

Comment 1 Spider (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2004-04-16 03:54:25 UTC
actually, the warning is informational, as the patch is for libtool issues, nothing else.
Comment 2 Malte S. Stretz 2004-04-16 04:21:20 UTC
Then somebody should probably change that exclamation mark to a simple dot.

/me shrugs and walks away
