*** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of bug 463558 *** I'm sorry for commenting to a RESOLVED bug, but I have a suspicion, that this bug may not be related to svg. I just want to let Juergen Rose know, that if he might recently upgraded glib from 2.34.* to 2.36.* as part of the Gnome 3.8 movement, it breaks vlc the way he reported. Downgrading back to 2.34 solved the symptoms for me. Gnome 3.8 breaks a lot more things - including pushing a new init system - so I ended up masking the whole stuff. It wasn't easy. Regards: Dw. |
