All I can say right now is that I don't have any network problems with any of my VirtualBox VMs. My two Windows7 VMs as well as my Windows8.1 Test-VM and all four Gentoo VMs are running perfectly fine regarding the network connectivity. What kind of network configuration do you use? NAT? Bridged Network? If it's not too expensive you might want to try app-emulation/virtualbox-bin and see if it fails there as well. Just keep in mind once you switch between the -bin and non-bin version (or vice versa) you have to re-login into X to get the environment variables right. I've always used NAT and tried several NICs. I'll try the binary version soon. Thanks! Any news here? |
