did gentoo's gaim used to allow you to use these emotes in a previous version of gaim? it does work, this exact version, on other distros im currently looking into the problem can someone change the dtatus ti resolved. this is a known bug. if once its fixed, the problem occurs again (with gentoo specifically) i think i know the cause. hwoever ill wait until the bug is officially fixed. why resolve it, if it works on other distros and not on gentoo? Im going to keep an eye on this bug, as a new gaim release, with a possible bugfix is due to be released. if it still fails on gentoo but not others, ill begin to look into it further. methinks these smilys are only in some plugins? I might look at the source later. certain plugins: yes you would be right. we have been mainly testing with the AIM and MSN plugins. these purposefully because theyre the effected ones. thats where thr bug lies, it uses the plugin ones and never the built in ones, which is gaims fault. apprently this is being fixed and will be in the next release ;) so is it in the current version then? or in the current current version ? no more traffic : closing |
