Portage uses the system default locale for building, which can make build logs more difficult to understand.

I propose to add the following to the default make.conf:

# This sets the language of build output to English. Please keep this setting intact when reporting bugs.
LC_MESSAGES=C

Could this be reviewed please? We are still often needing to ask people to rebuild the packages with C locale to get "proper" error messages in build.logs

the profile was changed here:
