Bug 478240 – dev-db/pgbouncer-1.5.4 init scripts can't start pgbouncer

This is fresh installation of pgbouncer.

# /etc/init.d/pgbouncer start
 * Starting PgBouncer ...
 * /run/pgbouncer/pgbouncer.pid: creating file
 * checkpath: open: No such file or directory                                                                             [ !! ]
2013-07-26 16:01:39.243 18019 FATAL Cannot open logfile: '/var/log/pgbouncer/pgbouncer.log': No such file or directory
 * start-stop-daemon: failed to start `/usr/bin/pgbouncer'                                                                [ !! ]
 * ERROR: pgbouncer failed to start

with debug it looks like this:

It looks the both files (and dirs) for pid and logs won't be created and also start-stop-daemon shouldn't start pgbouncer if checkpath fails. (using eend isn't enough to  exit from init script)
