all google earth versions are masked because

a) all old versions fail to fetch
b) new versions fail to start

we will upgrade when there is a working version

you might got unlucky and synced at a bad time where only part of googleearth packages were masked and thus forced a downgrade, that has been fixed... resync

Actually I have working 7.1.1.1580 on x86_64 on amd with xf86-video-ati (except photos placed on map), and earlier 6.0.2.2074 works also OK. So it sounds strange for me that there are huge troubles with all new releases.
