After gdm-3.8.3.1 upgrade along with systemd, gdm no longer displays a login dialog.

After starting it activates all my monitors and after about 20-30 seconds I get gnome wallpaper with a clock and a speaker icon buy no login screen

I enabled the systemd use flag globally and rebuilt all those packages. I also uninstalled udev. I set the openrc flag in systemd as well.

startx runs gnome-3.8 without issue so that is what I am using now.

This is what ps -ef | grep gdm shows after I cntl-c out of the failed gdm launch:

Maybe this is a dupe of bug 476848, please see at the end of logind output looking for errors

Some problems could be solved with gnome-settings-daemon-3.8.4, if not, try:
