It's cumbersome and prone to typos. Also several other commands and options are abbreviating repository to "repo":

   get_repo_path
   get_repos <eroot>
   --repo
   --all-repos

I suggest "repo_config" or "repos_config".

This is fixed in 2.1.13 and 2.2.0_alpha189.
