The error you refer to was already backported to 8.20 in January (bug #448716). *coreutils-8.20-r2 (11 Jan 2013) 11 Jan 2013; Mike Frysinger <vapier@gentoo.org> +coreutils-8.20-r2.ebuild: Add fix from upstream for `seq -s` misbehavior #448716 by Homer.
