(In reply to Thibaud "thican" CANALE from comment #0) so you disabled python-2.7 support in setuptools, then tried to build a package that needs that, and wonder why it fails ... Hello, What he means is sys-libs/cracklib should have a dependency on dev-python/setuptools[python_targets_python2_7] instead of dev-python/setuptools. Fixed in 2.9.1 which uses the distutils-r1 eclass. (In reply to Tim Harder from comment #3) > Fixed in 2.9.1 which uses the distutils-r1 eclass. Is it possible to update as well the currently 7 other ebuilds? As we can see with this command (grep -F -e 'setuptools' /usr/portage/sys-libs/cracklib/cracklib-*), it looks like it will be solved by only appending "[${PYTHON_USEDEP}]" once for each ebuild at every depend calls. Thanks for support. It's not going to happen because there is no point in touching the old ebuilds anymore. Rather the fixed version will be stabilized and older versions removed afterwards. bug 503648 for stabilization of 2.9.1 |
