Description Tomáš Chvátal (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2013-06-22 21:34:00 UTC
As per summary would it be possible to provide libgnomeprint2 and maybe others in 32bit form to support lotus-notes package?

Interested devs that want to work on this can query me on irc for the tarball hints.

Pacho pointed to me that gnomeprint is dead lib, but we can be sure that the lotus-notes won't see much updates so we have to live with what they have now.

I am not sure if it lacks more 32bit gnome stuff as they dlopen it on load, so it shows only the first failure.

Well, it's a dead lib and it implies multilib support on many "complicated" ebuilds like gtk+ and glib. I am not against it, but it will require some work.

Here is a quick ebuild I created for notes 8.5.3 on a 32 bit host
Just to get someone started.

This would need to be done using new eclasses for native multilib support

Stable libgnomeprint is multilib-capable by now.
