Please wait for wranglers to handle the bugs, don't cc people like this. It usually takes 1 day. What does Annullato mean? Try to compile it with LC_ALL=C. /bin/sh: line 1: 3285 Annullato LD_LIBRARY_PATH=${LD_LIBRARY_PATH:+$LD_LIBRARY_PATH:}"/var/tmp/portage/app-office/libreoffice-4.0.4.2/work/libreoffice-4.0.4.2/solver/unxlngx6.pro/lib" SOLARBINDIR=/var/tmp/portage/app-office/libreoffice-4.0.4.2/work/libreoffice-4.0.4.2/solver/unxlngx6.pro/bin /var/tmp/portage/app-office/libreoffice-4.0.4.2/work/libreoffice-4.0.4.2/solver/unxlngx6.pro/bin/idlc -I/var/tmp/portage/app-office/libreoffice-4.0.4.2/work/libreoffice-4.0.4.2/udkapi -I/var/tmp/portage/app-office/libreoffice-4.0.4.2/work/libreoffice-4.0.4.2/solver/unxlngx6.pro/idl -M /var/tmp/portage/app-office/libreoffice-4.0.4.2/work/libreoffice-4.0.4.2/workdir/unxlngx6.pro/Dep/UnoApiPartTarget/udkapi/com/sun/star/ -O /var/tmp/portage/app-office/libreoffice-4.0.4.2/work/libreoffice-4.0.4.2/workdir/unxlngx6.pro/UnoApiPartTarget/udkapi/com/sun/star/ -verbose @${RESPONSEFILE} > /dev/null I'm seeing this build failure on two different ~amd64 installs as well. canceled funny thing i haven't canceled anything (In reply to Tomáš Chvátal from comment #3) > What does Annullato mean? > > Try to compile it with LC_ALL=C. > > /bin/sh: line 1: 3285 Annullato > LD_LIBRARY_PATH=${LD_LIBRARY_PATH:+$LD_LIBRARY_PATH:}"/var/tmp/portage/app- > office/libreoffice-4.0.4.2/work/libreoffice-4.0.4.2/solver/unxlngx6.pro/lib" > SOLARBINDIR=/var/tmp/portage/app-office/libreoffice-4.0.4.2/work/libreoffice- > 4.0.4.2/solver/unxlngx6.pro/bin > /var/tmp/portage/app-office/libreoffice-4.0.4.2/work/libreoffice-4.0.4.2/ > solver/unxlngx6.pro/bin/idlc > -I/var/tmp/portage/app-office/libreoffice-4.0.4.2/work/libreoffice-4.0.4.2/ > udkapi > -I/var/tmp/portage/app-office/libreoffice-4.0.4.2/work/libreoffice-4.0.4.2/ > solver/unxlngx6.pro/idl -M > /var/tmp/portage/app-office/libreoffice-4.0.4.2/work/libreoffice-4.0.4.2/ > workdir/unxlngx6.pro/Dep/UnoApiPartTarget/udkapi/com/sun/star/ -O > /var/tmp/portage/app-office/libreoffice-4.0.4.2/work/libreoffice-4.0.4.2/ > workdir/unxlngx6.pro/UnoApiPartTarget/udkapi/com/sun/star/ -verbose > @${RESPONSEFILE} > /dev/null (In reply to Douglas J Hunley from comment #4) > I'm seeing this build failure on two different ~amd64 installs as well. Could you please post your build log too? (In reply to renato gallo from comment #5) > canceled funny thing i haven't canceled anything Haha, funky. When the hell can linker say canceled... Could you try to compile it once more and watch maybe memory usage? It might try to alloc too much memory and cancel itself if there is no more free? Other idea, go to the /var/tmp/.../libreoffice-4.0.4.2/ and try to trigger it once more by running make tail_build Created attachment 351698 [details]

hunley workstation build log single-threaded
and here's a build log from the same machine w/o my MAKEOPTS being set
with LC_ALL=C it compiles, should we add that variable to the ebuild or should we patch it to compile whatever LC we set ? (In reply to renato gallo from comment #12) > with LC_ALL=C it compiles, should we add that variable to the ebuild or > should we patch it to compile whatever LC we set ? > > It should work whatever LC is set. with pl, cs and de it is working just fine. So your translations should be no expection. Try to build it once more without LC_ adjusted and if it fails enter the workdir in /var/tmp/... and run make tail_build there to see if it proceeds to the end. Do not set LC_ALL if you can help it. Better set LC_MESSAGES=C in make.conf which will not have most of the side-effects that setting LC_ALL has, but still produce English language build output. I have the same problem on my amd64 box. I was able to compile libreoffice-4.0.4.2 but after upgrade boost to 1.52.0-r6 I can see the same error message. I am able to reproduce the error executing emerge @preserved-rebuild (it tries to emerge just one package - libreoffice). (In reply to John Blbec from comment #16) > I have the same problem on my amd64 box. marek lawicki build log
I have the same problem as John Blbec. Files attached. Marek, I think you have a different problem related to icedtea. If you still have troubles, please file a new bug report with log etc of current stable or ~arch. Everyone else, I think this is fixed now (all reports are from 4.0). Resolving, please also make a new bug report if the error 512 reoccurs with current stable or ~arch 4.1. |
