Description Jesús Guerrero Botella (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2013-06-10 06:59:46 UTC
This package will fail to install adb (and without that, really, there's no point in having it in portage) because it can't move and recreate /opt/android-sdk-update/manager/platform-tools.

I sorted it out by changing the ownership of /opt/android-sdk-update-manager to root:android, and adiding the permission g+w.

Is that an acceptable fix that can be put into the ebuild? There's really no point in having the sdk in portage if you use it for anything, which you can't in it won't let you install adb...

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Emerge the sdk
2. Launch "android"
3. Try to install the platform-tools and see how it fails misserably ;)
