The URL http://jpfleury.indefero.net/p/clearlooks-phenix/source/download/3.0.15/ produces clearlooks-phenix-3.0.15.zip that looks fine for distribution jseems identical to your "clearlooks-phenix-v3.zip" content-wise, according to Meld. If you worry about changes in checksums, make a copy of that file please (or rely on Gentoo mirrors), instead. How will future "3.0.16" and "3" look next to each other? Would you make 3-r1 for 3.0.16 then? The main issue is that users have to figure out themselves that they actually get 3.0.15. Please make that show in the package version and use the original zip file. Thanks you! they have a slot and users are expected to install them by slot (In reply to Julian Ospald (hasufell) from comment #3) > they have a slot and users are expected to install them by slot I don't see how that makes a difference. I like the slots but how does that make version "3" a good replacement for 3.0.15? Come on :-) if you look here http://www.jpfleury.net/en/software/clearlooks-phenix.php that is actually how they were named in the first place. for GTK 3.0 and 3.2: download Clearlooks-Phenix 1; for GTK 3.4: download Clearlooks-Phenix 2. for GTK 3.6 and newer: download Clearlooks-Phenix 3. (In reply to Julian Ospald (hasufell) from comment #5) > if you look here > > http://www.jpfleury.net/en/software/clearlooks-phenix.php > > that is actually how they were named in the first place. > > for GTK 3.0 and 3.2: download Clearlooks-Phenix 1; > > for GTK 3.4: download Clearlooks-Phenix 2. > > for GTK 3.6 and newer: download Clearlooks-Phenix 3. I'm aware. All of those point to snapshots of branches v1, v2 and master, not tags. I did add the link to Git web viewer showing the tags for a reason. I can fix it myself if it's about doing the work only. Can I go ahead? I don't really care, as long as you don't break the stable one. +*clearlooks-phenix-3.0.15 (08 Jun 2013) +*clearlooks-phenix-2.0.17 (08 Jun 2013) + + 08 Jun 2013; Sebastian Pipping <sping@gentoo.org> + +clearlooks-phenix-2.0.17.ebuild, +clearlooks-phenix-3.0.15.ebuild: + Add copies with proper version numbers (bug #472666, comment 2) + |
