Oh and after removing all pages from year 2012 which were listed on "Older than 6 months" I can still find some using search feature... (searching for example for 'a') You will need to ensure this is not a profile migration issue. You can test simply by moving ${HOME}/.mozilla out of the way. I think I see what's the problem now. I've made fresh profile and played a bit with changing system date. It seems it remembers all times the site was visited, for example if you visit google.com everyday it will show it under "Older than 6 months" because it was visited then, but _last_ visit date was more recent ie today. It is disorientating because you can show visit dates in history window and you see stuff with new dates among one with old ones. However I think this behaviour is still problematic. For example if you right click on "Older than 6 months" it offers option to delete stuff, I tried it and it also deleted things from my recent history. Please file a bug with upstream. If you feel this is truely an issue it needs to be fixed across all platforms. |
