Sure sounds like an upstream bug. From what version are you trying to upgrade? I'm trying to update from 0.8.6_p1. check if you need to convert foo.addStep(ShellCommand...) to foo.addSTep(shell.ShellCommand...) in your master.cfg config files. In any case, this is not a Gentoo bug. Please check the list of changes in 0.8.7 here http://docs.buildbot.net/0.8.7/relnotes/ I filed a bug report for this issue upstream as it is not a gentoo specific problem: http://trac.buildbot.net/ticket/2502 Reported as fixed in upstream in (coming version!?) 0.8.8 https://github.com/buildbot/buildbot/commit/a9219ab771680285226dd2d78e7ffac3d27c17d6 Closing as upstream then.
