However, you have USE=test enabled. Not really sure how you get this combination but that should not be happening.
@portage guys: Ideas?
Is it reproducible? Maybe you've got something in /etc/portage/bashrc or /etc/portage/env/app-emulation/qemu* that's interfering with FEATURES? I'm sorry to have wasted your time. I had test disabled via /etc/portage/env/app-emulation/qemu for a long time and I even forgot about it. I removed the file and it build just fine.
