Build.log for media-libs/glu
Automake 1.12 is marked unstable, yet autotools.eclass regards it as 'latest'. What gives? Cancel the above comment. My eix database is out of date. However, automake:1.12 is a new slot and hasn't yet been built which might explain a bit. Same here when updating after almost a year; more than 700 packages to update. Automake 1.11.6 was installed when glu gets updated and failed. After 'emerge -1 automake' which installed ver. 1.12.6 into a new slot, glu gets updated successfully. I just hit this with a different package when updating a system I haven't touched for more than a month. Looks like something occurs when doing the full emerge -avuDN world and, for some reason, the eclass doesn't try the latest INSTALLED version, but the latest available one (1.14 now in stable) and neither pulls in the installation of new automake before it tries to run eautoreconf: * Package: dev-libs/nettle-2.7.1-r1 * Repository: gentoo * Maintainer: crypto@gentoo.org * USE: abi_x86_32 abi_x86_64 amd64 elibc_glibc gmp kernel_linux userland_GNU * FEATURES: ccache preserve-libs sandbox userpriv usersandbox >>> Unpacking source... >>> Unpacking nettle-2.7.1.tar.gz to /var/tmp/portage/dev-libs/nettle-2.7.1-r1/work >>> Source unpacked in /var/tmp/portage/dev-libs/nettle-2.7.1-r1/work >>> Preparing source in /var/tmp/portage/dev-libs/nettle-2.7.1-r1/work/nettle-2.7.1 ... * Applying nettle-2.7-shared.patch ... ebuilds according to those eclasses, then that ebuild is wrong. certainly glu & nettle are broken. from autotools-utils.eclass: [[ ${AUTOTOOLS_AUTORECONF} ]] || : ${AUTOTOOLS_AUTO_DEPEND:=no} feel free to file new bugs for each broken package. OK, thanks nettle is already fixed (but pending stabilization in other bug) and glu-9.0.0-r1 looks to handle eautoreconf properly |
