I have get the same problem. I have the same problem on my laptop turion X2 proc. I have massaged the files mentioned in the aclocal.out ,rerun aclocal & the rest of the commands ,deleted my distfile of libpaper, reinstated the edited file, ran ebuild --force and tried another emerge. I get the same messages again. HELP this's holding up a rebuild Created attachment 346864 [details]

patch to get libpaper to use AC_CONFIG_HEADERS instead of AM_CONFIG_HEADER
Here's the patch that got it working for me (you'll also have to add the following line to the top of the ebuild's src_prepare to get it to apply the patch when you emerge):
epatch "${FILESDIR}"/build.patch
I've since found an easier way to get around this problem,as patching is not always succesful. Check which automakes you have available, any one prior to & including 1.11 will compile up these programs without resorting to patching. All you have todo is add the package into package.use with automake-1.11 as a requirement.ie: =app-text/libpaper-1.1.24-r1 automake-1.11 the package will then compile without errors. This problem also affects htdig & syslog-ng 03 May 2013; Patrick Lauer <patrick@gentoo.org> libpaper-1.1.24-r1.ebuild: Automake 1.13 fix |
